This is what was on my wall when I went to work this morning. After dinner, I plan to add to it and start sewing the rows together. I've said it before and I'll say it again....I have a very hard time with random. What makes this one hard is that I need 5 vertical rows of blocks and I can only fit 4 of them on my design wall. I think I need to make an extension for my design wall.
The pattern is a Fig Tree called Cobblestones.
VERY pretty fabrics. I think this quilt is going to be very shabby chic and very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love your blocks. The colors work so beautifully together.
ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty! I think you are doing just great with "Random"!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! FWIW when working on something just a little larger than the design wall, I have had good luck letting both sides hang over the edges a bit and pinning the blocks on the edges that wouldn't stay put otherwise. Much better to have it all up; I am terrible at "random" too.
ReplyDeleteHere from JudyL's design wall monday.
That is very pretty: I really like the fabric. And, I completely understand your problem with random.
ReplyDeleteI like the colors, very calm. My design wall flannel wasn't as big as my wall so I added a piece of leftover batting next to it--just thumbtacked it to the wall. Hope we never have to move-hehe.
ReplyDeleteWell it doesn't look to me like you're having a "hard time with random". That looks absolutely lovely.
ReplyDeleteLOL! The quilts always seem to outgrow the design wall, don't they?
ReplyDeleteLovely work!
Looks good. I always use my bed as a design wall as none of the walls in my room are big enough for a real design wall.
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs Gina xxx
