I worked on Andrew's Convoy quilt and intended to machine applique, so I took scraps to the retreat. I ended up following the Buggy Barn directions and piecing the blocks, so I needed to buy a few fat quarters, and I got some as giveaways, and Julie gave me some yardage to make Elizabeth's dress.

I don't think fabric acquired on retreat should count ;) but if it has to, at least you used more than you bought.
