Carolyn's T-shirt Quilt
Carolyn made this wonderful t-shirt quilt for her son. It's 2-sided and she really took the time to plan this one.
One side has shirts from his school days and boy scouts. On the bottom row in this picture, there are 2 blocks that have patches sewn on. I just stitched them close to the satin stitching to make sure they stay on. I'll have to take a closeup of those blocks.
The other side has college and the Army shirts and parachute material.
It really is a great idea to make it 2-sided, but it's pretty heavy. I quilted it with a meander, Gray Permacore thread and used Hobbs 80/20 batting.

very neat....I've made a few tshirt quilts....but I hand quilt..so the quilting was in the sashings and borders and the tshirts were tired. I really like how you machine quilted this one.
