Kim's Bright Squares

One of Kim's friends made this delightful quilt. It's for a grandchild who is moving into a big bed! I think she made curtains to match.

Just a meander with Lava thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting. The backing was minkee and it had a couple of seams. I wasn't sure how that would work out, but it did just fine.

Kim's Baby Panel Quilt

Kim brought this flannel, very cute baby panel for me to quilt.

I just did a meander on all but the birds and I stitched close to them and close to the feather and eye. Lite Pink Permacore thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting.

A very sweet, soft baby quilt!

Kim's Baby Quilt

Now this is one that I have not seen before. The blocks are somewhat like the Keyhole pattern, but not quite. There is embroidery in the center of some of them and it's cute-as-can-be!

Another meander, this time in white thread. This was very tricky because it was hard to see the thread because of all the busy patterns.

Look at this yummy backing fabric!

10 Days

I can't believe it's been 10 days since I posted on my blog. Seems like I don't make it into the computer room until late and then it's just to check email and such. Anyway, here I am and I'm planning to do several days worth of posts tonight and schedule them. We'll see how that goes.

Here is one of Kim's quilts. I'm not sure of the pattern, but I have admired it for a while now on other blogs and websites.

She just wanted a meander and brought Warm and Natural batting, and I chose PermaCore Camel thread.  She used her stash for this one and has a great eye for color as they all play together nicely.

It will be nice to get some of these meander quilts done in between the custom ones.

Kim's Applique and Pieced Quilt

Another one for Kim and just like the last one, she wanted a meander on this one also. A lot of work went into piecing this quilt and she did a great job.

I chose PermaCore Mother Goose thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting. This is another one that I would love to make. But I think I would add some borders to it to make it fit my bed.

Kim's Christmas Quilt

I LOVE this quilt. She did such a nice job on the buttonhole applique and the colors are just perfect. Kim made this quilt for her daughter who is expecting and she's hoping to help decorate her house before December 1st, which is when they think she might have the baby.

Just a meander is what she wanted and you know me, I just love a meander. I seriously think I could do it with my eyes closed. I'll have to try that sometime!
