86 quilters from California, Colorado, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Missouri were at the Threads of Mine retreat in Shipshewana, Indiana October 17-20th. Shipshewana is Amish country and if you have never been there, you are missing a wonderful experience. I had planned on having 90 quilters at this retreat and had a few back out close to the event, so we ended up with only 86. Each quilter had her own 8' table to use and there were cutting mats and ironing boards placed around the room for us to use. The staff at the Farmstead Inn was fabulous and took care of our every need. The accommodations are lovely and the beds comfy!
See the view from our sewing room Saturday evening. Looks like a postcard, doesn't it?
They serve a wonderful breakfast and the quilters were on their own for the other meals. We don't have a lot of scheduled activities, just Introductions the first night and then show and tell Friday and Saturday night. Here are a few photos from our show and tell.
