Dottie's Embroidered Quilt

Dottie embroidered these blocks and they look fantastic.

The alternating blocks are 4-Patch Posie blocks.

I chose Bountiful Feathers as the quilting pattern and used a cream Omni thread.

Dottie's Baby Quilt

Dottie bought these cute baby prints at the Open House at Choice Fabrics a couple years ago. I loaded the plain fabric as the backing and the cheater fabric as the top.

I made one for each of us and what a cute idea for a baby quilt. I'll probably take mine along to New York and hand stitch the binding while I'm there and then leave it for Calise.

Angel Wings panto, Omni Pearl White thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting.

Quilts from his shirts

Dottie made these quilts and pillow tops for Diana, who lost her husband. She did a great job and I'm sure they will be a wonderful comfort to her children. She chose Stars and Loops pantograph and I used Hobbs 80/20 batting. The backing is denim, so they are quite heavy.

Here are 7 table runners that Carolyn made. She had the backing and batting cut for each of them. I stitched the backings together and loaded them all at once, floating each table runner as it's backing advanced. She's all set for Christmas.

Yes, I Quilted This Weekend!

Here is my handiwork for the weekend:

I quilted 3 quilts and 9 pillow tops that Dottie pieced out of shirts. These are memory quilts/pillows for a family that lost their dad.

I also quilted 7 Christmas table runners that Carolyn made.

I plan to take photos tomorrow at work where I can spread them all out.

I'm ready for a glass of wine and some tv.
