Stashbusting 2011 - #31

Fabric Added this week - 14.5 yards
Fabric Added Year to Date - 90.625 yards

Fabric Used this week - 3.625 yards
Fabric Used Year to Date - 151.875 yards

YEAR TO DATE STASH USED: 61.25 yards

Well, I sure had a good time at the shop hop and I guess you can tell that by my numbers. I didn't just buy for the sake of buying fabric, I actually have a plan for all that I bought.

We all had money left, so we stopped at Rossville Quilts on the way home to check out the last of their Firecracker Sale. I've never seen so many motorcycles outside a quilt shop before.

These reds are for 2 different quilts. The Moda fabrics on the left came from Rossville Quilts and was $6/yard.

These are for the pineapple quilt. I really want to have a nice variety of fabrics in this one. The WOW jelly roll is for an upcoming project, so it has a purpose also. And at $10 for 20 strips, I thought that was an OK deal.

Shop Hop and Cookie Exchange

On Saturday, Tammy, Shelly and I planned to drive to the Avon Quiltery for their Christmas Open House, but Mother Nature had other ideas. It was snowing and blowing and the roads were icy so, we decided to have a local shop hop of our own. We started at Joanns and then visited Quilters Harvest. A stop for lunch was in order and we tried Hungry's, a chicago style hot dog place. I tried to be healthy and ordered a chicken caeser salad, but they were out of chicken, so I settled for a hot dog. Tammy had the chili dog and Shelly and I had the chicago style hot dog. Quite good, I must say!

Then on to the cookie exchange at Mary's house. This is an annual event and so much fun. This is what I came home with and more photos are HERE on my Flickr page. I think I'm going to stop putting photos on Webshots because of the ads. I don't mind the ads on the side of the page, but when they blast me in the center of the page and I have to click to remove them, it irritates me.

I put my cookies in the freezer for Christmas dinner. I know if they sit out, I'll try just one and then another, and then another, and then they will be gone and I will weigh 5 pounds more.

Then on to Rossville Quilts for their 1st Anniversary Sale, where I purchased 2 more yards of the Moda Flower Show II for pillowcases for Jeff and Dané. I also picked up a FQ of black Fairy Frost for a photo quilt in the works this week.

The last stop was Michaels where I picked up a bunch of $1 items and some Wilton Candy Melts for dipping pretzels.

Whew, makes me tired just writing about it.
