Butterflies and Dragonflies

I quilt these 2 quilts for Brenda last Friday evening and Saturday morning. These disappearing 9-patch quilts use the same fabrics, just different placement.

One of the fabrics has butterflies and dragonflies on it and I just happen to have a pantograph with each of them. Angel wings by Jodi Beamish, and Large Dragonfly by Dave Hudson

And the back of one of them:

They both have Hobbs 80/20 batting and glide/permacore thread.

Brenda's Bear quilt

Brenda made this cute bear quilt for her grandson. I sat on it way too long before loading it because I had no good ideas. She doesn't like traditional quilting, so I had to come up with some new ideas.
Well, she called me on Wednesday to check on the status, and I loaded it after I finished Charlotte's quilt and did a border or 2 to get started and then went to bed.

I quilted in my sleep, waking up many times, thinking, I could do this design, or that design. Needless to say, when I woke on Thursday, it wasn't finished. But I did finish it Thursday evening.

And finally, the bear:

I delivered it Friday evening and she was so pleased with it that she sent me home with 3 more tops.

Brenda's Kentucky Quilt

Brenda put this one together, with embroidered blocks that she purchased, I believe.

It is light custom with terry twists, beadboard in the outer border and swirls in the inner border.

Permacore white thread on top and chambray in the bobbin, Hobbs 80/20 batting.
