Small Quilts, Too!

Last week wasn't all big quilts. These were quilted and some even have the binding applied.

Barb made this cute giraffe quilt for a great grandchild.

The brown and black fabrics are minkee.  Popcorn panto and Omni Goose thread. The backing and binding are giraffe spotted fabric, how cute!

Look at all those squares sewn together. That was a lot of work! 

Vicci made this cute table runner.

Pink Paisley quilting, which you can hardly see. I got some practice on binding 60 degree corners.

 Here's the backing with a little better image of the quilting.

 Judy made this quilt for a nephew's baby. She wanted some special quilting as it would be a keeper in the family.

 I quilted 1/4" from the edge of the star, using a ruler, Terry Twists with a feather in the 4-patches, and meander in the background.

 I saw Judy at the One Stop Shop Hop in Kokomo last Saturday and only had a little photo to show her, so I 'm excited to show her the entire quilt.

 

Here is Carla's cute books wall hanging. It's only about 30" square and I used a new Fireworks panto for the quilting and Glide Silver thread.

How cute is the coloring on this one!

Lois's Baby Quilt

I finished this one on Sunday and it is just as sweet as can be. She didn't want a lot of quilting, so I think this works just fine.



Terry Twists in the squares and a loopy meander in the center and border.




The back is flannel....very soft!

Brenda's Kentucky Quilt

Brenda put this one together, with embroidered blocks that she purchased, I believe.


It is light custom with terry twists, beadboard in the outer border and swirls in the inner border.



Permacore white thread on top and chambray in the bobbin, Hobbs 80/20 batting.

Irish Chain Baby Quilt

Ashley's baby shower was yesterday and she seemed pleased with the quilt. It doesn't coordinate with the nursery, but she did receive lots of items in the blue and brown that is so popular right now.



The quilting design is called Terry Twists, a design by Sally Terry, (which I do freehand), the batting is Quilters Dream poly and the thread is PermaCore white.



I washed it before the shower and it turned out so soft and crinkly.

Memorial Weekend Quilting

Saturday was the quilting day of the weekend and I finished Carole's Kaffe Diamonds using the Damask Rose pantograph by Keryn Emmerson, Permacore L. Strawberry and Warm & Natural batting. It turned out really nice, but I just realized that don't have a shot of the entire quilt.





The next one was a guild mystery quilt and I used Spiral Square pantograph This was one of my prizes from Judy's blog contest. I'm so glad I entered and won, because I love how this turned out. I used Permacore White and Warm & Natural batting. The backing is white flannel, which should make it a snuggly little baby quilt.





Then I quilted the happy squares quilt with Terry Twists in the blocks and a simple meander in the border. Permacore White and a Warm & Natural batting scrap. So I'm not only using up my fabric stash, but my batting stash as well.




And last but certainly not least, I loaded and started quilting my March challenge quilt. I used another new pantograph, Jacobean, Permacore black thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting. I am so glad that I went with a panto for this one. I thought about doing some custom and actually started to do some freehand feathers it the first border, but ripped them out and went with the panto. I finished this one on Sunday.
