Design Wall Monday
I got most of the rows together on my Hands2Help quilt while piecing the next Scrap Squad quilt. A half tumbler on each end of the rows and a border and it's done! I got the idea for this from Kathie's blog.

Leaders and Enders, and Tips!
I'm busy working on my Scrap Squad quilt and am finding that I need lots of Leaders and enders. So, I got out my tumbler die for my Go Cutter and have the blocks cut for my Hands2Help quilt. When I finish chain piecing a row of the scrap squad quilt, I stitch two of the tumblers together. Hopefully, I will finish 2 quilts at the same time.
If you were at Paducah and went to the Eleanor Burns show, you'll see that I'm taking her advice......LEAVE THOSE TIPS HANGING!

It's a 1930's Week
I quilted this little 1930's quilt for Vicci on Monday and applied the binding Tuesday and last night during American Idol.
She is giving this to her mom for Mother's Day.
And the back:
Then I loaded Janet's 1930's quilt and got a good start on it. Finished it up tonight. She bought this top in Shipshewana in March and it was pieced very nicely.
Same pantograph on both: Double Rose Vine, Hobbs 80/20 batting, and Permacore Dyed Natural thread.
What a great backing for this quilt!
On my sewing table are these 1930's too! They are from my design wall here and are coming together nicely.

Paducah 2011, part 2
A new Pellon batting and a sample bamboo batting, swags book, Best Press from Janet, free thread from Smokin Needle.
A few new patterns, Fairy Tales, Town Square and Basket Lattice.
(I didn't realize the Fairy Tales has so many mushrooms, yuck)
A few scrap bags from Hancocks of Paducah for Julie. I didn't add these to my stashbusting cause I won't be keeping them. The red prints are mine though.
Ah, more fabric.....
Lots of pastel girly fabrics, border fabric for my City Limits quilt, orange for Mary Buvia workshop, Orange and pink dots will be dress for Elizabeth.

Paducah 2011
We saw lots of flooded fields, but never saw a flooded road. Since the flood walls were up, I don't even have any idea how high the river was.
Only one time were the crowds not tolerable and that was Wednesday morning when it was pouring rain. The Pavilion was shoulder-to-shoulder and I thought I was going to explode. Patience isn't one of my finest virtues, you know.
We exchanged little gifts the first night and here's what I received, a sewing machine table mat with pockets, a potato bag, a little change or credit card holder, a sewing kit case that will hold a small mat and notions, a notepad with pencils, ribbon and a button, a needle case.
I made mug rugs to give:
This is what I got into my Fabric Flurry zip lock bags. Most of the pieces are half-yards. There are a couple one yard pieces and one FQ. I purchased 2 ziplock bags for $1.00 each and got to stuff them with all we could. You had to close the bag all the way. I was certainly happy that I was at the front of the line and actually stood right at the table.
Other purchase included stencils, some swag rulers, heart ruler, some quilt hangers, and a couple mini wholecloths.
