Orange Crush

Steps 2 & 3 of Orange Crush are finished, finally. They are pretty bland looking and I'm hoping that the yardage for this quilt will liven things up a bit. My burgandy and brown scrap bins are looking a bit different, but certainly not empty.

Some of my favorites so far are the bright ones like Laura's, and Linda's. I normally work in brights, but thought I would try something a bit different.

Saturday Morning in Indiana

This morning while I was frogging a test block for quilterscache(I'll explain this later), Dan was enjoying, along with thousands of other Hoosiers, I'm sure........morel mushroom hunting. It's not an activity I enjoy, not only because I don't much care for tromping around in the woods with my eyes peeled at the ground, but I do NOT like mushrooms of any kind. Yucky!!

Done, Done & Done!

I finished Carole's bright Kaffe quilt last night and then loaded her Asian panel and they're both ready to make their way to Maryland tomorrow morning along with one other that I did a week or so ago.

Cathy picked up her fruit and veggies quilt last night and I asked her about the strawberry fabric and she said she got it in Illinois, somewhere?? She's been collecting fruits and veggies for quite a while now.

More photos of each of these are here.

Carole's Asian Panel

Here's a peek at some of the stitching on Carole's panel. I got a lot of ideas for the quilting at Paducah, but I need to finish this by Friday evening, so I better get busy.

Pineapple and Fruits & Veggies Quilts

Monday night Peggy picked up the pineapple quilt and I has sorry to see it go. I think I'll make one for myself.

Last night I worked on Cathy's Fruits & Veggie Stack and Slash. I used Permacore Olive thread and the Feather Me panto. It's coming along nicely, I think. I only have one more pass to do and then I will load Carole's Oriental panel again and finish it up.

I worked on my Orange Crush a little last night also.

Speaking of Fabric at Paducah...

First we had a great dinner at Rafferty's.

Some of my friends seem to have bought a bit too much and didn't have room for their luggage. Sue had space in the back of her van and offered to drive the fabric home for them.

Here's the before shot of their van with no room for all their luggage:

And here's the whole scene...........it was just too funny not to video!
