Last night I went to Arni's to meet a guild friend MaryAnn, her husband Bob, her brother, sister-in-law Ardeth (a member of my online guild), their daughter and grandson. Arni's is a must for those who have lived in Lafayette and moved away. It's just one of those places.
We had a wonderful visit and then I went home and loaded this quilt made by Lois. I decided on meandering feathers for the wide borders. I haven't quite decided on the rest of the quilt, but figured I could get started anyway.

Oh I LOVE those feathers! I just purchased a used Gammill Classic. While I wait for it to arrive, I have been practicing feathers on a jacket (I have a short arm system). Can you do feathers in any direction? I seem to only be able to make them from bottom to top...guess I need to keep practicing on my white board! Thanks for the eye candy!
Beth - mine are from the bottom up. I tried top down, but they aren't very good.
Your feathers are lovely! They are a goal of mine. Do you do any marking or just 'eyeball' where you are going?
Those are beautiful feathers...
I'm still working on round stuff off my machine, named Ruthie. When I get round right I'll go back and try feathers.
Sigh, practice, practice, practice! Bonnie
