Alices Caterpillers

I quilted this one real quick for Alice, who needs it for a baby shower. Circle Lord Swirls Template is perfect for this cute little quilt. PermaCore white thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting.

Speaking of batting,

I have piles of leftover batting pieces. All the ones that are less than 15", I cut up into 7" and 8" squares for frayed quilts and 4" pieces for coasters.

From this:

Now, what to do with the 15" to 30" pieces?

I love the caterpillar fabric and the way you quilted it. Very nice! Why don't you sew all the bigger pieces of batting together and use them for table runners or wall hangings.

I piece pieces of batting as I quilt, usually charity or baby quilts. The one I finished this morning used three different sized pieces, too small for anything else but worked great in my quilt. I almost never throw anything away. ;-)

Cute, cute quilt. I always piece batting leftovers. I just but them up and iron a 3 inch strip of lightweight fusible interfacing onto the junction. You can't tell when the quilt is done.
