Another Rhapsody in Bloom

Last night I decided to make a little valentine table runner with the Scrap Squad Rhapsody in Bloom pattern.

I won a Fat Quarter pack from Jeanne's blog giveaway in 2008 and they have been waiting for the perfect pattern. Well, here it is...isn't it cute.

And look at the stripe I will use for the binding. I have enough of the red/white polka-dots to add triangle ends if I decide to.

Good News x 3!

The first good news is actually a couple months old, but I don't think I posted about it.
I won a giveaway on Thelma's blog, Cupcakes 'n Daisies. It's the wonderful blog and she sure does get a lot done. She had a great tutorial for making half-square triangles. I had a bunch (160) to make for my scarp squad quilt, so I tried it out..........works like a charm and there's just those little tails to trim.

Thanks so much Thelma!

The second good news is that I won a prize in the OPAM drawing for December. There were a total of 783 finishes for December and 36 of those were mine. I thoroughly enjoyed participating in the OPAM challenge and will be signing up for 2011 when they begin taking names on January 25th. Kris and Peg did a super job of organizing...........thanks so much!

The third bit of good news is the acceptance letter I received yesterday from A Gathering of Quilters 2011.
I entered my Memories of Spring Break in Hawaii quilt in this juried show and it has been accepted. I guess that means a road trip for me! The show is March 18, 19, 2011, in Shererville, IN.

I Won a Blog Giveaway

A few weeks ago Paula at Coffee Time Stitches had a blog anniversary giveaway and I won the Fantastic Fabric prize. What a very nice bag of prizes she sent and I can't wait to try my first Schnibbles pattern. I've been seeing these everywhere in blogland lately. The chocolates sure made Dan's eyes light up, so of course, I'm sharing those.

Thanks so much Paula!

It's Christmas in October!

The mail carrier has been oh-so-sweet the past couple of days. I won 2 blog giveaways in the past couple of weeks and they came just days apart. Dan said it looks like Christmas around here. Of course, I received 2 quilt tops and backs from Carole in Maryland today, so that was another package for me.

Here are my prizes,

On The Run, a book filled with wonderful table runners written by Heather Mulder Peterson of Anka's Treasures

These are blogs that I visit regularly and I want to thank you both very much!

Flutterby Stitches, a pattern for an armchair caddy and folder cover, both of which are cute as can be, by Natalie Ross in Stitches.

Blogger Christmas

WOW, it was like christmas around here yesterday when I got the mail.

I won a prize from Sew, Mama, Sew for participating in the blog giveaway day and got to choose my FFF prize. I chose this lovely Mod Dot Red with Pink ~ Alexander Henry fabric and had planned to maybe give it to my good friend who loves red fabric, but now that I have it in my hands, I may want to keep this one for myself. Kristin posts lots of gift ideas on her blog, and this week kids crafts are featured.

The second prize is from Karen at Cotton Spice and it is 4 wonderful wool ornaments with beds and sequins. Such a lovely gift and it was wrapped in this yummy lime green fabric. I love them and can't wait to put them on the tree this evening! If you haven't visited her blog, you should go there right now. She has post after post of wonderful gift ideas complete with instructions.

Thanks so much to both of you and I just love reading your blogs!
