Sharon's Reproduction Quilt

Another quilt of Sharon's. Yes, I've been saving them for a while and decided it was time. I have several customers that bring a bag of quilt tops at one time and tell me to do them "whenever."

I guess whenever has arrived.

This is a Carol Hopkins Designs quilt and I just did a stipple in the background.

 A wavy line in the inner border.

Feather border with little loops inside.

 You can see the block quilting much better on the backing.
Hobbs 80/20 batting and tan Omni thread.

Mary's Applique Quilt

Mary made this quilt to give away to an organization as a fund raiser. Her applique is just beautiful and I had to study it for many days before I got up the nerve to start it.

 I chose to do a beadboard in the outer border

 A swirly, feather design in the inner border and sashing

 And stippling in the blocks.

I love how it turned out. She picked it up today and was pleased. That makes me happy!

Pam's Neutrals

Pam saw this quilt at a quilt show and purchased the kit. She wanted it quilted exactly like the sample, which was stippled.

Yikes, it's 96 x 77 so that's 7,392 square inches of 1/4" quilting, which adds up to almost 6,000 yards of thread.

Here's the whole quilt, which doesn't really catch my eye:

It's when you start to see it up closer that you can see how stunning it really is.

Here I am starting the last row and I told Dan that it was time for a glass of wine. By the shine in my eyes, you might think I had finished off an entire bottle, but that's not the case.

Each row took a full bobbin and about 30 minutes.
