All Finished and Out The Door!

A former guild member was visiting from Maryland this week and she brought this one to me last Sunday. She wanted the lady done trapunto style. "I've never done that," I said. "Oh, I know you can do it," she replied.

Well, it's finished, picked up and it gave her goosebumps. She flys back home tomorrow, so I finished it just in time.

I spray basted Hobbs 80/20 to the back of the center and then stitched on all the outside black lines with water soluble thread on my Janome and then cut the excess batting away. Her batting was Warm & Natural and I used Permacore Eggshell top and bottom, except for stitching over the black outlines, where I used Smoke MonoPoly on top.

This is a wedding gift for an Asian/American couple. The front is for her and the back log cabin blocks are for him.

This is a beautiful quilt - and your work was wonderful. I spray basted a wall hanging this week and started quilting it and I hate it. It's wrinkled on the back. I'm going to take it out tomorrow - I only did in-the-ditch lines around one inside border so it won't be too bad but I have no idea why it wrinkled on the back so bad. blessings, marlene

Ruthie,
I have to say that looking at this quilt hanging on the stand in your back yartd, with the sun shining on it took my breath away! The quilting is fantastic! You did a marvelous job! Meho and her husband will love it.i am amazed at all the things you can do even if you have never done them before.
