Memory Quilt and A Basket

After Marty left, I loaded a memory quilt that Lisa made. She is making 4 of these and has given me 3 of them already to quilt. I wondered how my machine would do with all the different fabrics, but not to worry, it stitched like a dream.

Then I decided to try making one of these cute little fabric baskets from a tutorial on the Pink Penguin blog. I used an assortment of fall colors and a leaf print for the lining and bottom. These could become addictive and it went together so quick and easy. Here is mine with some of the leftover Halloween candy in it on my desk at work.

Funny! I have one of those little baskets from Pink Pinguin cut out and partially sewn. Isn't it a cute pattern?
