Sue and Mabel

Last week Sue G came to visit Mabel. She planned on quilting a small quilt but decided to do a big on instead. She did a great job and it only took her 3 hours, start to finish! She used the Leafage pantograph.

I forgot to take a photo of her with the finished quilt, but here another shot of her concentrating very hard.

Mary's Fall Flannel

I finished this yummy flannel quilt of Mary's tonight. It really is more green than this photo shows.

It was quilted using Leafage by Keryn Emmerson, with Olive Drab Permacore thread and Fairfield low-loft poly batting. The thinner batting works well with the heavyness of a flannel top and backing, making it a snuggly quilt. Hope she likes it!

Leafage

This beautiful flannel quilt belongs to Carole and I used the Leafage panto by Keryn Emmerson, PermaCore Topaz Gold thread and Warm & Natural batting. It is a very cozy, nice to snuggle with quilt.

Gotta keep quilting these tops to pay for the new Kia!

She's Getting Better!

Sorry for the extra slow blog postings.....I have been so busy, both at work and in the evenings. Dan has been working out of town and my nights just seem to fly by.

Janet came over to quilt on Monday evening and finished her Gypsy Rose quilt. She used the Leafage panto and just whipped right through it.
She was much more comfortable with Mabel this time.

1st Quilt Finish of 2009

I guess that Andrew's bag was my 1st finish of any kind in 2009, but this is my 1st QUILT finished. I put the last stitches on the binding of this quilt at the meeting last night. When I got home, I took a photo of it and boxed it up. Off to the post office this morning and now it is on it's way South. I named it Hawaiian Memories.....can you guess who it's for?

The batting was Hobbs 80/20, white PermaCore thread and the pantograph was Leafage, an 8.5" design by Keryn Emmerson, which I think was perfect for this quilt.

EDIT: there is a pattern similar to this by Atkinson Design called Slide Show.
