Quilts of Valor

A couple weeks ago I quilted this last Quilt of Valor that I got from Di Richards, the Indiana QOV coordinator. This was made by someone in Valporaiso, I think. I'm not sure if there was a pattern, but I seriously doubt it. It's probably one of the my least favorite quilts. But it's quilted and hopefully it will make someone feel loved.

Stars and Loops panto on this one, with lite tan Omni thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting.

I quilted one other for Di, but I guess I didn't get any photos of it.

Another 1600 Quilt for Joann

Joann made another 1600 quilt and this one is for a grandson who is graduating, I believe. Her borders made this one quite large and it sure is pretty.

She chose Stars and Loops panto because some of the fabrics have stars. I always like to do this one as it's pretty mindless for me. Sometimes I wonder if I could do it with my eyes closed. Maybe I'll try it someday on one of my quilts.

Adrienne's quilt

My friend Adrienne came over today and quilted a quilt that she pieced many years ago. She is giving this one to her brother, who will be visiting in the next couple of weeks.



She hasn't been here to quilt for months, but only took her about half a row of the panto to get back into the rhythm of quilting. It was so nice to catch up on everything going on in our lives these days.

Relay For Life Log Cabin

Peggy and her co-workers made this beautiful log cabin quilt and she decided on the Stars and Loops pantograph. I used camel PermaCore thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting and she was very happy with the finished product. I can't wait until our guild meeting on the 20th, so I can buy some tickets and who knows, maybe I will win this beautiful quilt.

Busy Quilting Day

Friday I finished up Carole's Turning twenty quilt and finally got some photos yesterday.



Judy came to quilt her patriotic quilt for the Relay For Life. She chose the Stars and Loops pantograph, Warm and White batting and camel PermaCore thread. I hope she gets lots of donations for this cute quilt.




Later in the afternoon Peggy came by with her beautiful Relay For Life quilt and we loaded it and I got a few passes done on it, using the same pantograph.

My Daughter, The Quilter!

I feel so lucky that my daughter, Julie, shares my love of quilting. She spent the night and did the quilting on two quilts she will be giving as Christmas gifts to her neice and nephew. They are really cute quilts, too. I am going to try to make one of the I-spy ones for Andrew. Don't know if I will get it done by Christmas though. There are 2 of each block on the I-spy quilt so the kids can try to find the matching squares.....what a great idea! She used stars and loops panto, Hobbs 80/20 batting and Lava Deep Sea thread.





This backing fabric is just yummy!!
