Stashbusting Report - 9/29/08

Fabric Added This Week - 1.5 yards (6 - 1930's FQs)
Fabric Added Year to Date - 92.625 yards

Fabric Used This Week - 10.75 yards
Fabric Used Year to Date - 321.55 yards

YEAR TO DATE NET TOTAL: 228.875

There are 13 more Mondays in the year for me to report my stash used and If I am to hit the 500 YARDS used this year mark, that means that I will need to use a little more than 13 yards per week. I guess I better get busy and quilt some of my UFOs because backings are the biggest stashbusters for me.

Hum, next year I'll track my ins and outs for fabric. I still buy but in moderation. I can always use whites, creams -- background types. I often buy something backgroundish when I'm at a new store I like. Keep plugging away. 13 yards a week sounds like a tremendous amount of fabric but I guess 2 quilt backs would eat it up pretty fast! Good Luck. Bonnie

I personally think you are doing an awesome job. You already BUSTED more than 200 yards! Wow! You go girl!

I'm in awe! I'm trying to use 100 yards this year.

That's a lot of fabric used - I count my stash used in finished quilts but I think I'll be lucky to hit 100 yards. Of course, a lot of my quilting time is spent doing donated tops or tops for family and I'm not providing the fabric in them.

Good job

Well since its October now and I've done so badly this year. I'll just forget I even tried. But the way things look in the news it is about time I started!
