Rosemary's Black and White with a Splash of Lime

Here is the last of Rosemary's quilts. Again, I just love what she has done with these fabrics. It's just my style!

On Facebook, I called it Lime-a-rita. I guess because I've been seeing those new drinks I want to try with that name.

I used Button Flower panto as I though it worked well with the oh-so cute fabrics. Hobbs 80/20 batting and Omni Cream thread.

The back is a batik. Love the sun shining through!

Rosemary's Brown Batiks

Here's another beautiful quilt made by Rosemary. She has been a busy quilter this spring. Actually, I've had these quilts for a while, so she probably had a busy winter! I'm not sure why this photo is so blurry. I'll try to remember to take another.

I chose Becker's Ferns for this one also and used PermaCore Bambi thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting.

 Aren't these fabrics just yummy!

Rosemary's Pinwheels

This quilt is just CUTE! I love the pinwheels that the flying geese make, love the fabrics and it is a simple design, but very effective.

She chose Baptist Fan as the quilting design and says she may have a new favorite quilting design. Which is good news to me, as I love my Circle Lord Baptist Fan templates!

Rosemary's Blue Squares

Here is the second quilt that Rosemary made that I quilted it with Baptist Fans.

I usually think of using Baptist fans on older quilts, the ones that have a vintage feel, but I love how it looks on these modern quilts and even batiks!

OK, I think I may be caught up with blog posts for a day or so. I have a bunch scheduled, so we'll see if it works.

Rosemary's 4-Patch Posie

This is a very beautiful quilt, made by Rosemary. 

About 5 years ago, I taught my friends at a retreat how to make the 4-Patch Posie quilt. The next year there were 20 or so 4-Patch Posie quilts for show-n-tell. I felt like a proud parent for sure. I think there has been at least one 4-Patch Posie at show-n-tell each year since then.

Jacobean is the panto I chose, Omni lite tan thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting. It's just as pretty as can be.

I'll quilt some more of Rosemary's quilts when i return from Kentucky, so be sure to check back next week.

Rosemary's Batiks

I just love Rosemary's use of batiks, so beautiful! Here's another one for the porch at the beach house, that I don't have.

I wonder if she bought these when we went shopping at Batiks Plus in St. Louis?

I chose Angel Wings Begonia as the quilting design, as I think it looks like waves, Lite Chambray Permacore thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting.

Rosemary's Dresden Plates

My online friend Rosemary made this beautiful quilt. One lucky little girl will receive a very pretty quilt?

Just look at all the different batiks!

I quilted a large meander in the outer border, swirls in the sashing and a small meander in the block backgrounds. The dresden plates got a continuous line of loops going around and then in the center also.

Dancing With The Stars

Not the TV show, but Rosemary's latest quilt. We chose feathers, Bountiful Feathers to be exact. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love this pantograph. It was very windy outside this evening, ao I don't have a great photo.



I think it's a great fit for this quilt too. Quilters Dream cotton batting and Permacore Khaki thread.

Rosemary's Zen Quilt #2

Rosemary sent 2 more Zen quilts for me to quilt and we decided on the same Ribbon Twirl panto we used on the first one. It really gives this pattern lots of motion.



I used Lava Pompei thread, and Hobbs 80/20 batting. There are some beautiful batiks in this quilt!

Rosemary's Black and White

What a great modern looking quilt Rosemary made. I quilted this one last Tuesday but just got the pictures taken. I just love how graphic it is and the border fabric is perfect.



I decided that it needed some circle quilting, so I chose celtic scroll panto by Keryn Emmerson. It's all packaged up and on it's way home.

Rosemary's Shadowbox

The fabrics in this quilt are just wonderful. It reminds me of my drive to New York a few weeks ago and all the colors in the trees. I sent it out UPS this morning back to her, although it's one I would have like to kept.



I quilted it with a Keryn Emmerson panto, Leaf Litter and Omni carmel thread.



Today we are off to Boulder, Colorado for my step-son's wedding. We'll return Monday evening, so I don't know how much posting I'll be doing. One of the highlights for me is that I get to visit Quiltmaker Magazine and see 3 of my Scrap Squad quilts hanging in their gallery. I'll be sure to take pictures if they let me.

Rosemary's Beautiful Quilts

Here is the second quilt that Rosemary made. I just LOVE her style and I hope that she loves my quilting.
Rosemary and I met on an online quilting message board and have only met in person a few times. She sends me the most beautiful quilts and I never have to fuss with them to get them to lay flat.

On this quilt, I used my circle lord spirals template, and wavy SID (because I didn't want to have to change thread color for the SID), and flat feathers in the border.





And look at the back, It's a two sided quilt for sure.



Hobbs 80/20 batting and Glide tan and PermaCore camel thread for both of them.

Back to my Regularly Scheduled Quilting

Now that Jennifer's quilt is finished, I can get back to the quilts that have been patiently waiting.

The first one is Rosemary's and it is a very striking quilt and her circles are PERFECT! So, I thought they deserved some nearly perfect circle quilting, using my Circle Lord. You remember my Circle Lord, that pricey piece of equipment that I bought for Mabel on her first anniversary and have used very little! Well, now it's getting some use.

Anyway, this is turning out quite nice....



And it really is purple, not blue. I'm not sure what's up with my camera.

Rosemary's Town Square

What a pretty quilt! I just love it and she said it went together quickly. There are some oriental fabrics so I decided to use my Clamshell Circle Lord Boards of this one. I used Glide tan thread and prewound bobbins, Hobbs 80/20 batting.

I'll get a shot of the whole quilt tomorrow.

Rosemary's Mint Chocolate Swirls

I LOVE this quilt! The combination of greens and the brown batik are stunning. The shape looks wonky in my photo, but actually the quilt is as square as they come. It laid flat and was a dream to quilt. I quilted it with Michelle Wyman's Ribbon Twirl pantograph, Permacore Olive thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting

Can't believe it's Thursday already!

I finished this quilt for Rosemary and it's on it's way home to her. She wanted something swirly, curly and I thought Waterworld by Jodi Beamish would look great. The batting is Hobbs 80/20 and the thread is Camel PermaCore.

Mary's Christmas Lights, a Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt that appeared in Quiltmaker last year. I have my blocks made, but not assembled, so Mary has me beat on this one. I used a new panto, Echo Holly & Poinsettia, PermaCore Old Gold thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting.
