Deborah's Monkeys and Snowmen

These two quilt tops were made by Deborah and they are cute as can be. I love the close-up of the Monkey Business panto.

Here's the snowman panel quilt. She asked for something like swirling snow and I chose Waterworld and used Glide thread for a little sheen.

Hope she likes them!

Roberta's Christmas Wall Hanging

Here is a quilted piece that didn't take much time at all. Roberta is planning to applique reindeer on this piece. The antlers of the reindeer will be her grandchildren's handprints. I've never seen one quite like this, so I look forward to seeing it finished. She promised to share photos with me.

 She wanted a swirling snow effect, so I chose Waterworld panto for the center and beadboard for the border.

 

Janet's Cupcakes

Janet bought these embroidered blocks on ebay and assembled this cute quilt.

I chose to do a panto and Waterworld seemed to make me think of the swirls of icing.

Fairfield 70/30 batting and Omni white thread.

Marla's Batik Quilt

Marla worked on this quilt at last year's spring Break Retreat. I think the pattern may be Underground Blues. She had done a small wall hanging and maybe one or two other small quilts. She stayed up till around 3:00 am and finished putting this one together. We knew then that she had been bitten by the quilt bug! Which makes her mom, Debbie very happy!

We picked the thread color, Omni Tapestry Taupe, together, but I chose the quilting design. Someone last weekend suggested circles and so I picked Waterworld, which has about the most circle-like design of all my patterns.

I think it turned out great and can't wait for her to see it! You did a wonderful job, Marla!

Carla's Girly Panel Quilts

Last weekend I finished quilting the last 2 girly panel quilts that Carla made.

The first one I quilted with Ribbons and Roses panto. I used Permacore Eggshell thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting on both of them.

Carla brought me one more quilt last night when she picked these up. I'm working very hard to get all my customers quilts done before Christmas. My original deadline for getting them finished was December 1st, but I've taken in more since I set that date and now it's looking more like December 10th. I hate to turn down quilts from my customers, but I have to remember that there are only 24 hours in each day.

Waterworld for Sue

Sue made this beautiful quilt and I chose Waterworld as the quilting design. The quilt reminds me of coffee and Waterworld reminds me of steam curling up out of the mug.

I used Glide Tan thread after trying a beautiful Ricky Timms thread that she brought. I couldn't get it to stitch correctly without breaking the thread. After 4 tries, I gave up and picked this thread that has the same sheen to it.

Carla's 1930's Pinwheels

What a cute quilt this is that Carla made. It's just pinwheels made from 1930's prints and WOW.

I chose Waterworld for the quilting design and used Glide white thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting.

Carole's Coffee Quilt

It's good to be back to quilting!

I loaded this one last night and finished the quilting tonight.



I chose WaterWorld by Willow Leaf Studios because the swirls reminded me of the steam coming off a cup of coffee.



PermaCore Dyed Natural thread and I'm not sure of the batting. It's something that Carol gave me and I think it will make a nice wall hanging.



I love the panel pieces she used!

Another one done!

I loaded and quilted Deb's yellow and blue quilt today. I'm not sure of the name, but the panto, Daisy Swirl, by Lorien Quilting that she picked out is perfect for this quilt. The batting is Hobbs 80/20, and the thread is Permacore Light Leghorn.



And the back, which shows a better likeness of the color, a soft yellow.

Jennifer's Chinese Coins

I just finished this beautiful quilt that Jennifer made and of course, it makes me want to make a chinese coins. More photos tomorrow in the daylight.

Can't believe it's Thursday already!

I finished this quilt for Rosemary and it's on it's way home to her. She wanted something swirly, curly and I thought Waterworld by Jodi Beamish would look great. The batting is Hobbs 80/20 and the thread is Camel PermaCore.

Mary's Christmas Lights, a Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt that appeared in Quiltmaker last year. I have my blocks made, but not assembled, so Mary has me beat on this one. I used a new panto, Echo Holly & Poinsettia, PermaCore Old Gold thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting.
