Julie's Baby Quilt

Julie made this cute baby quilt.

 This was the first of all the Angel Wings pantos this week. The dark pink strip is actually a flange and I basted it down as I went along. I'm not sure how it will look after it's washed, but hope it will be fine. Hobbs 80/20 batting and light pink thread.

The main fabric is a gingham, so it really is a sweet quilt!

Carla's Baby Quilts

Here are a couple more baby quilts made by Carla.

This first one is a very cute panel with some borders. She has made quite a few of these, and I usually do custom quilting, but this one was to be simple.

Angel Wings panto for the quilting along with Hobbs bleached 80/20 batting and light pink PermaCore thread.

This is another cute panel with some borders.

I chose Rhapsody for the quilting, Hobbs 80/20 batting and light pink thread again.

Look how pretty this backing fabric is!

Janet's Purple Strings

Janet made this quilt to be donated to the Vision of Hope facility here in Lafayette. Our guild has been making quilts for them since before they opened their doors. They requested quilts with Purple in them, as all their linens are lavender.

I chose Angel Wings panto and Permacore Lilac thread, along with a poly batting. I'm not used to the poof of poly batting, but it's one that I had here, so I thought this was a great time to use it up.

The lime green in this one really makes all the colors pop. Here is a truer shot of the green fabric.

I'm sure the young woman that uses this quilt will feel the love that it was made with.

Virginia's Quilts

Here are #2 & #3 of Virginia's Christmas quilts.

I've had the #2 Brown and Green one done for a couple weeks now, but hadn't taken any pictures of it besides the one for "What's on Mabel."

I think she made one similar to this last year also and this one is just a great. I love all the different greens.

I chose Popcorn for the pantograph, and Permacore Camel thread.

This one with 1930's fabrics is just too cute. Dan said last night it would make a great baby quilt, so I'll have to remember the pattern when I need another baby quilt.

The center is Angel Wings panto, and the inner border has rick-rack. At least that's what I'm calling it because it reminds me of rick-rack.

The outer border is just a meander.

I couldn't get all of the the last row of the panto in, so I changed the butterflies to have 2 bumps on their wings instead of 3. It was a struggle to remember that each time I approached the butterflies.

Deb's Baby Quilts

Deb made 2 of these cute flannel baby quilts. Makes me want to get out my tote of baby flannels and make some myself.

I chose Hearts and Roses panto and used Pearl White Omni thread and Hobbs 80/20 bleached batting. This photo shows the fabrics much better.

She also make this cute quilt with cottons.

Quilts for the Veterans

Our guild is collecting wheelchair quilts for residents of the Indiana Veterans Home. Lish pieced this top and I quilted it. It will go to another member for binding.

I used Angel Wings panto, Permacore white thread, and Hobbs bleached 80/20 batting.

A nice flannel for the backing on this one.

This one I pieced using leftovers from a photo quilt a few years ago.

Used the same panto, thread and binding.

These are small quilts, but from what I have read, you don't want them too big or they will get caught in the wheels.

Cherry's 2nd Charity Quilt

It's another purple one, but this one is flannel.
I didn't realize that there was a pattern to the fabric placement until I took this photo.

Some very pretty flannels! I'm sure this quilt will make someone very happy.

Cathy's 2nd 1600 Quilt

Here is the 2nd of Cathy's 1600 quilts from our guild jelly roll race. She used all batiks and I can't imagine what her batik stash looks like. I'll bet she has 100's of different ones.



I used Angel Wings panto because it was on the table from when I quilted Caren's, which I didn't get pictures of, darn it.

Carla's 1600 Quilt

Carla was a guest at our guild meeting a couple weeks ago and she helped Mona with her quilt. Then she went home and cut some childrens novelty fabrics and made a 1600 Zippy Strippy quilt. She wanted something fast and easy as she is donating this quilt very soon.



I quilted it with Angel Wings panto because the border fabric has butterflies. Hobbs 80/20 batting and Omni Pearl White thread.

Just look at all these cute fabrics. It's going to make some youngster very happy.

Carla's Baby Quilts

I finished all 3 of Carla's baby quilts and they are just cute as can be. They were just panels that she added borders to.



The first one, I quilted with angel wings because of the butterflies in the border fabric.





The second one has Button Flower in the center only and the borders have 2 different quilting designs.







The third one has stars and Loops in the center and wavy diamonds in the outer border.





I think they all turned out great and I'm sure her great Nieces and Nephew will love them.

Dottie's Baby Quilt

Dottie bought these cute baby prints at the Open House at Choice Fabrics a couple years ago. I loaded the plain fabric as the backing and the cheater fabric as the top.





I made one for each of us and what a cute idea for a baby quilt. I'll probably take mine along to New York and hand stitch the binding while I'm there and then leave it for Calise.

Mary's Baby Girl Twister

While I had the Angel Wings panto on the table, I decided to load this beautiful quilt that Mary made.



She already presented to top to the mother-to-be at the shower and then took the quilt back to get it quilted.



She use the new Twister ruler and a lovely fabric line to create this heirloom quilt. I love it! Permacore light strawberry thread and Hobbs 80/20 batting.
